The Art Of Surfing (TAOS) will be running an advanced coaching course in Piha for competitive junior surfers who are looking to take their surfing to a higher performance level.
Date – 16 July 2020
9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Most junior surfers develop bad habits while learning. If left unchecked, these habits can limit their progression through those crucial development years.
Our advanced coaching camps are about reaching your true surfing ability and working on perfecting your technique.
We will meet at Piha south car park on the grass on Marine Parade S. From there we’ll find the best bank to surf for the group’s level and avoid crowds as much as possible.
If the forecast is showing surf that is un-surfable at Piha due to too small or large surf the course will be moved to the east coast north of Auckland (swell permitting) so guests must be prepared to drive to an alternative location on the day if need be.
You will be notified with the official location for the course no later than 3 days prior to the course start date.
- Filmed surfing sessions
- Venue analysis and peak positioning overview
- Video analysis using state-of-the-art analysis software
