The Art Of Surfing (TAOS) will be running a one-day coaching course for intermediate to advanced adult surfers who are looking to take their surfing to a higher performance level.
The course will run in Whangamata where there is plenty of options to find an uncrowded peak, plus a two-day event window, ensuring the best conditions for the day!
Date: 24th or 25th Oct 2020
8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Feel like your surfing has plateaued? Don’t worry – you’re not alone. It’s a common problem for people who’ve been surfing recreationally for some time. Surfers usually develop bad habits they’re not aware of, so they simply make the same mistake over and over again. If that sounds familiar, there’s a good chance it’s because no-one has ever shown you the correct technique to help you improve. Our coaching will give you the feedback you need, along with concrete steps to improve.
We’ll meet at acess 8 Esplande Drive, Whangamata. From there we’ll find the best bank to surf for the group’s level and avoid crowds as much as possible.
An ‘event window’ format means we reserve the entire weekend for the course however on Wednesday prior we will notify you of the day with the best-forecasted surfing conditions. Participants should keep the weekend free as refunds can not be given in the case of other commitments. In the case of severe weather or no surf, the course may be postponed.
